History
Pleasantville was the original name of the area surrounding Mill Pond. The school had its official opening on October 19, 1960. Additions were added to the school in 1994 and 1999. Pleasantville P.S. is a true community school with an extremely strong emphasis on parental engagement and high achievement for all learners.
Our school touchstone stands proudly in our front foyer; a set of guiding principles and belief statements, each one highlighting an important facet of who we are and what we strive for.
Our school mascot is the panther, whose paws adorn our spirit wear, sports jerseys and school banner.
