Crossing Guard Update

  •   So far 1 call with a person of interest, directed to City of Richmond Hill website to apply. In the meantime continue

to get the word out there.

Morning Traffic/Safety

  • Discussion about concerns with double parking, students crossing, cars pulling into parking spaces
  • Both Easy Street & Mill Street are problems. When parking enforcement was around for a few mornings things ran well. They have been asked to return periodically.
  • Reminder to parents and children that they can enter through front doors in the morning, and reminder going to parents that if they need to get out of their cars to help kids inside then they need to park their car on the road and walk them in.

Flyers for role still available in office, continue to post in neighbourhood

Robyn to send reminders in weekly email

Financial Report & Requests:

DiscussionAction/next steps
  • Aram shared that as of September 2025 we have approximately

    $52,900.00 in our account

  • $29,365 has been approved for new investments
Aram to update Hot Lunch fundraising at next meeting

Wish List items:

  • 4k Classroom Library Books
  • $4,500 Cost – share for Technology (coming soon 60 Chromebooks will need to be replaced)
  • $3,300 Gym and Storage Lighting Adjustments
  • Consensus is lighting needs to be fixed, and cages added so they are not knocked around by balls. Once final estimate comes in on costing for-lamping and cages council will vote, may be expense for 2026 – 2027 year
  • Alternative is to do a fundraiser specifically for the stage lighting. Ideas include cookie dough sales in March and/or selling tickets to the Spring concert

Council approved requested funds for books &Technology

Gather info on lights

Robyn to get estimate on lighting that includes cages and council will revisit

Hot Lunches - General Discussion:

  • Generally have extra hot lunches available as providers leave 2 extra per week, then student absents
  • Remind teachers to bring to Suzy’s attention any student who they feel does not have the means to have a lunch daily. Can help with extra lunches discretely.
Robyn to bring this up in the next staff meeting
