Principal’s Report

  • Blues & Beats Musical Showcase - May 14th - everything on track for a great show from all the kids - 10:45 to 12:35
  • Track and Field - May 20th for grades4 to 8 - want to have a snack table, need a volunteer
  • Field Trips - arranged by class, not grade
  • Summer Construction
    • All access bathroom being added to second floor
    • Limited re-grading yard, fencing added around west parking lot & all new pavement in the school yard
    • Painting games on new pavement - comparable to what they are now
    • New basketball net

Lunch Deliveries:

  • Session 5 in Progress
  • Session 6 same vendors as previous session. Order window closes May 12th
 

BBQ

  • $5500 is a good budget. Will spend most of it, but comes with things we can keep. Button machine.
  • Increase to food costs. Still working on pricing for school cash online. Option of French fries. Can make up to 300 orders.
  • Marisa – ice cream truck, photo booth, DJ,
  • Low tech fun things– bubble things to play with
  • Bake sale need volunteers
    • Will have cotton candy and popcorn
  • Use stickers as prizes for family games

Grade 8 Graduation

  • On track and on budget
    • Need to pay invoices
    • Costing Grads$60 for dinner& dance
 

Teacher Appreciation Lunch

  • Everything on track for staff appreciation day
  • Ask for donations for teacher appreciation. Ask going out
  • in May
  • Have funds from last year – used money for office admin day appreciation. Teacher appreciation week.Principal appreciation week
 

Safety Blitz

  • First one a success
  • Second one to happen, date TBC
  • Need 4 volunteers
 

Grade 8 Trip

  • Full day of programming, including lunch and dinner, transportation,
  • Students can pay in 2 installments. Students saved their$20 field trip money to help cost for this event
  •  
 

Book Swap

  • Planning for curriculum night, usually the Thursday after the September re-org event
  • Sort books before hand
  • Set up tables in the gym for the night
  • Armita to take the lead for next year
