    • May 14th - Day performance (10:45 to 12:35)
    • As many classes as possible will be performing
    • Parents will be invited to attend

    • End of year picnic- intermediates only
    • Movie Night license has expired. To be purchased next year.

Financial Updates:

  • No new approved investments from last month. Total expenditures stand at $38,363.41 for the school year
  • 2025-26 Year Opening balance $43,920
  • Remaining funds available for year $5,557
  • Possible BBQ Budget of $5,500.00
  • Hot lunch
    • Sessions 1 - 4 profit $27,115.00
    • Session 5 in progress, all sales in, invoices to come
    • Kids Kitchen has returned a profit of $511 as of now
    • Current Account Balance $57,454.00 - expected to decrease significantly as Session 5 invoices are to be received and paid
    • Last year, in April2025 balance was $38,837.00 but not comparable due to timing of sessions, transactions and invoices

    • 2025 Grad Event - self funded

    • 2026 Grad Event - self fund and in good shape

Fundraising Plan

  • This year there have been several fundraisers. Between fundraising, snack and lunch programs etc we are asking parents for approx. $1692
  • Council and committees should remain mindful of the frequency and number of fundraising initiatives going forward
 

Hot Lunch Programs:

  • First session for October 2026 - keep same vendors
  • Inquiry about changing pizza provider to Pizza Hut. Will have to check on price, sizing of slices, halal meat/cheese options and will they honour price
 

BBQ

  • Will be moving forward with the event as they received enough adult volunteers to help on the day of
  • BBQ committee asked for a budget of $5500 - council voted and passed
 

 

Teacher Appreciation Lunch

  • Menu confirmed
  • Google form to be sent to teachers
  • Request for support to be sent via email in May
Soha to update at next meeting if volunteers are needed

Safety Blitz

  • First safety blitz went well
  • Will need to repeat
 

Grade 8 Graduation

  • Current graduation planning is going well
  • Grade 7 parents have had initial meeting for Grad 2027. Next meeting will be on May 21st
